Your HBO Max account becomes a Max account. After launching Max, the HBO Max app will be disabled, and you will need to download a new app.
As an existing HBO Max customer, you get access to Max when the service launches on May 21. Follow the steps and enjoy the biggest blockbusters, the bravest stories and unforgettable classics.
- Step - When starting the HBO Max application, you get a notification that you need to install a new Max application
- Step - Download HBO Max app from Google Play Store or App Store
- Step - Max recognizes your data and you only need to accept the new terms of use
- Step - Your Max account is activated
If the new Max application does not recognize your data, you need to log in with the same email and password you used for HBO Max.
Note: Your profiles, watch history, and My List will be transferred to Max so you can pick up where you left off.
iOS 13 and older Apple devices
To make sure you can enjoy the Max app, update your device to iOS 14 or later or watch on another device before May 21.
