eSIM is intended for all Yettel users, individuals and legal entities, who own a phone that supports eSIM. Postpaid and prepaid users in our branch can request the activation of this card on their number. On this occasion, an eSIM profile is created on the phone and the card is systemically replaced in order to link it to the number.


Postpaid users can request an eSIM when concluding a new contract or request to replace a card on an existing contract, while prepaid users can request an eSIM only by replacing a classic card at a Yettel branch.

 

Where can a user activate an eSIM?

 

In all Yettel stores, the user can activate his eSIM card. On this occasion, they will receive a voucher containing eSIM information:

  • QR code – activation code that is used when activating the profile in the phone,
  • PIN and PUK.

The user can return to using a classic SIM at any time, it is only necessary to replace the card.

In order to activate the eSIM, it is necessary that the user has an Internet connection on his phone at the time of profile activation.

 

Activation method

 
Activation on Android devices:
  • On the home screen, click on "Settings"
  • Select the "Connections" option
  • Find the "SIM card manager" section
  • Click on "Add mobile plans"
  • Select the option "Scan carrier QR code"
  • Scan the QR code from the voucher

Activation on iPhone devices:
  • On the home screen, click on "Settings"
  • Select the "Mobile Data" option
  • Click on "Add Data Plan"
  • Scan the QR code from the voucher
 

Benefits for the user

For the first time, iPhone users have the option of using two numbers on their phone.

 

I have a problem downloading the eSIM profile. What should I do?

 

Before activating the eSIM, please check the following:

  • does your phone support eSIM technology,
  • whether you have connected your eISM phone to the Internet (preferably via a Wi-Fi connection).

If you have already used the same eSIM voucher on another device, before the new activation it is necessary to successfully deactivate the eSIM on the previous device (an active Internet connection is also required for deactivation). If you still have a problem with eSIM profile activation, contact the Yettel Customer Center.

 

Can I transfer my eSIM from one phone to another?

 

Of course. It is possible to delete the eSIM from the device you used it on, and activate it on a new phone, which must also support eSIM. For new activation, use the same eSIM voucher that you initially received.


As the deletion procedure depends on the manufacturer, you can find detailed steps for deactivating the eSIM in your phone's user manual.

 

Does the eSIM remain on the phone if I reset the phone to factory settings?

 

This depends solely on the phone model. On some models, during the factory reset process, you will be able to choose whether the eSIM will also be erased at that time.


If you have deleted the eSIM from your phone, you can reactivate it using the eSIM voucher you initially received.
