Frequently asked questions

Why do I have to register my number?

In accordance with the new rules and regulations on technical conditions for the registration of end users of prepaid services, which went into effect on April 10, 2024, all users are obliged to register their prepaid number no later than April 10, 2025.

What happens if I don't register my number by April 10, 2025?

If you do not register the number by the end of April 10, 2025, you still have 45 days to register the number, but during this period you will only be able to call emergency services, receive emergency notification messages (e.g. "Find me"), as well as make and receive messages and calls from Yettel Serbia.

All credit and allowances that have not been used until April 10, 2025. will be deleted. After these 45 days expire, i.e. after May 25, 2025, if the prepaid number is still not registered, it will be deactivated. You can reactivate the number with registration by visiting the nearest Yettel store with a personal document.

My prepaid number is already registered, do I need to reregister?

If the number was registered before October 1, 2018. you need to reregister. Until you do that, the number will be kept as unregistered, but all traffic, credit and all services will still be available to you. If the number was registered between October 1, 2018. and February 2, 2024, the number will remain registered. If in the meantime the number passes to a different owner that hasn't been registered, we ask that both the old and new owner visit a Yettel store together, no later than February 10, 2025. in order for the number to be registered to the new owner.

My prepaid number was registered before October 1, 2018, why do I have to register it again?

Registration of prepaid users before October 1, 2018 did not require personal presence of the user, therefore personal identification of the person registering the number was not mandatory. This type of registration is not in accordance with the standards prescribed by the new legislation in the field of electronic communications. Rules and regilations on prepaid registration came into effect on April 10, 2024 with the beginning of application from April 10, 2025.

Are there any changes now regarding prepaid numbers that were registered before October 1, 2018?

Regarding the use of voice and Internet traffic services, nothing changes. Don't worry, all credit and traffic from add-ons you currently have will remain available until you register again, and no later than April 10, 2025.

The only change is that your number is now considered unregistered and needs to be reregistered at the nearest Yettel store as per the instructions provided.

Why is the prepaid number registered in my name no longer visible in the Yettel app?

In case your prepaid number was registered before October 1, 2018 and linked with a Yettel account on your postpaid number, this prepaid number will no longer be displayed in the list of numbers in the Yettel app related to you.  Until you register again, if you want to use the mobile application for that number, you can temporarily open a new account to which you will link the prepaid number. Don't worry, after you complete a new registration, your prepaid number will be displayed again on the account where your postpaid number is.

If you have a Yettel account connected only with your prepaid number that is no longer registered, you can use the Yettel app without interruption (only without access to traffic specification). The only thing that won't be displayed now is your personal information.

Is it possible for an underage person to register a prepaid number?

Currently, number registration is only possible for adults.
