Yettel Is Serbia's Best Mobile Network in All Three Tests

One Network, Three Awards

Belgrade, August 21, 2026 - The Yettel network is the best mobile network in Serbia, according to the results of all three independent international network quality tests conducted by Ookla®, umlaut and P3. This makes Yettel the only operator in Serbia whose mobile network quality has been confirmed by all three independent assessments.

According to Ookla®’s results, Yettel has the fastest and best mobile network in Serbia. Yettel also received the P3 Test Champion award for the best overall network performance in Serbia. In addition, umlaut named Yettel Best in Test for having Serbia’s best mobile network for the tenth consecutive time, as well as the country’s best fixed network.

“Recently, we have further modernized the network, increased capacity, and launched 5G. Our latest-generation network now covers 75 percent of the population. We are proud to have received all three awards, but this recognition also comes with a responsibility to continue investing in the network and enhancing our customers’ experience,” said Mike Michel, CEO of Yettel.

Ookla®, umlaut, and P3 use independent methodologies based on real-world customer experience:

  • Ookla named Yettel the Speedtest Award™ winner for Best Mobile Network in Serbia during 1H 2026. Ookla’s Best Mobile Network Award, based on the Speedtest Connectivity Score™, provides a reliable measure of the overall mobile network connected experience. The Speedtest Connectivity Score combines various real-world network performance metrics, such as speed, latency, and quality of experience for everyday activities like web browsing and video streaming. Based on an in-depth analysis of these measurements, Yettel achieved the highest Speedtest Connectivity Score in Serbia.
  • umlaut's assessment is based on crowdsourced data collected 24/7 from a large number of customer devices and applications. According to umlaut's results, 161.6 million samples were analyzed for Yettel's mobile network, which achieved a score of 911 out of 1000 points, with coverage of 99.2 percent of Serbia's population. In 2026, 20.7 million measurements from 55,582 customer connections were analyzed for Yettel's fixed network.
  • P3 evaluates mobile network performance using crowdsourced measurements collected from real-world user experience. Alongside established categories such as voice, data, responsiveness, video streaming, gaming and network availability, the benchmark assesses AI-Readiness and AI-Services, reflecting how quickly AI-based applications are becoming part of everyday mobile use, and how directly they depend on network responsiveness. In this year's benchmark, more than 20.2 million measurements were analyzed, representing coverage of 96% of the population and 92% of the built-up area.

Through its long-standing cooperation with the Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia (GSS), Yettel also provides reliable communications in mountainous and remote areas, where rapid response and network availability can be critical to ensuring people’s safety. The company’s responsible approach to the community and the environment in which it operates is also reflected in its use of renewable energy sources: Yettel’s mobile network has been powered entirely by renewable electricity since 2022, as have all Yettel facilities since 2024.
