YETTEL FOUNDATION SUPPORTS SCIENCE PICNIC, BRINGING TOGETHER FIVE THOUSAND VISITORS
Yettel Foundation supports Science Picnic, bringing together five thousand visitors
Belgrade, June 1, 2026 – The fourth Science Picnic, held on May 29-30 at the Arboretum of the Faculty of Forestry, welcomed around 5,000 visitors, including more than 1,400 elementary school students and approximately 300 families. As a festival partner, the Yettel Foundation once again supported the event, which promotes a better understanding of sustainable development and environmental responsibility through science and interactive experiences.
Held under the slogan "Think Green," this year's Science Picnic introduced visitors of all ages to topics such as environmental protection, renewable energy, and sustainable living through dozens of workshops, hands-on experiments, and science demonstrations.
As part of the Innovation Zone, Yettel presented its "Green Hydrogen" exhibit, where visitors learned why hydrogen is considered one of the fuels of the future, how solar energy can be applied in everyday life, and even explored images of Earth captured by a weather balloon at an altitude of 26 kilometers.
"Sustainable business practices and a responsible approach to nature are an integral part of our long-term strategy. We are proud to support the Science Picnic once again, as it inspires children, young people, and families to better understand these important topics through engaging, hands-on experiences. We believe that initiatives like this help demonstrate how small changes in our everyday habits can make a meaningful difference for the future," said Milica Begenišić, ESG Manager at Yettel.
By supporting the Science Picnic, Yettel continues to contribute to initiatives that use education, science, and innovation to encourage people of all generations to adopt a more responsible approach to nature and sustainable development.
