IP transit

The extensive network of Telenor Serbia supports high-quality Internet access through the main transmission route – backbone connected to the main European connection points with continuous monitoring of parameters of services.

The quality and reliability of IP transit is provided by purchases from top world providers (TIER 1) and it is additionally advanced by local and international peering with practically all major operators. IP transit service is intended for operators and it possesses all the qualities of a professional service along with firm agreements on the level of service availability (SLA).

Burst (Exceeded agreed access speed)

Special advantage of IP transit service for operators is BURST (exceeded access speed) model of calculation which enables maximum optimization of costs and for the first time allows an operator to ensure customer base growth without making capacity surpluses needed for that.

Technical support with escalation levels up to expert level. Telenor CNOC provides technical support 24/7/365 with continual network monitoring and proactive surveillance of all relevant network parameters.

Ethernet services

Services are provided via a platform on Layer 2 level for the purpose of ensuring solutions for PoP-to-Pop, PoP-to-End to End-to-End, with firm agreements on the level of service availability (SLA) provided by distribution via MPLS network.

Telenor possesses full redundant network equipment with dual electric power supply and spare units for the entire necessary equipment. The platform enables planning of fully adjustable bandwidth range and multiple configuration which enables transfer of various services via a single interface in line with service providers’ needs.

Thanks to the implemented topology of rings within the network and flexible traffic directing, Telenor is able to provide solutions for both protected and unprotected Ethernet and respond to requirements of customers who demand top-quality services.

At request we are capable of meeting even the most rigorous professional parameters (MTU: Jumbo frame, QinQ, Full VLan transparency)

The available throughput speed range is between 2 Mbps and 10 Gbps.

Dark Fiber

Balkan region countries are interconnected by a fiber network of Telenor Serbia via several rings, which provides the possibility to choose the most convenient routes within Serbia which are suitable for specific needs of operators.

The whole network is proactively monitored in order to ensure stable high-quality operation of the network in each of its segments, which is clearly reflected in high level of obligations to customers taken through service level agreements (SLA).

Wavelength

In Belgrade, Podgorica, Budapest and Sophia, Telenor has its main international connection points (PoP) which are interconnected via our optical network. Both protected and unprotected capacities (2.5G, 10G) are available within the network.

Protected and unprotected capacities of 2.5G, 10G, 40G are available within the network. When the system was advanced in September 2014, the 100G capacity along Sophia-Belgrade-Budapest route became also available.

Multiplexing systems with dense wavelength distribution (DWDM) support 40 wavelengths with the capacity of 10 Gbps per wavelength, and they can be expended up to 80 wavelengths with 40 Gbps per wavelength.

Faultless infrastructure enables the offer of wavelengths between points of connection (PoP) as transit services or their delivery to end users in Serbia and Montenegro.

Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH) capacities

Telenor offers solutions for the establishment of special-purpose lines between two points, starting from a line from one connection point to another (PoP-to-PoP), point of connection to end destination (PoP-to-End), all the way to solutions for lines from one end destination to another (End-to-End),  as a company provider of services via other independent providers in Serbia and the Balkan. There are configurations for various services ranging from E1 to STM-64 across the whole network of optical fibers of Telenor Serbia.

Connections between end users and providers (last mile) in case of requests for lower capacities in Serbia can be supplied via the extensive microwave network of warranted bandwidth of transmission range.

Telenor Tier3 Data Center

Telenor Tier3 Data Center was constructed and provides services according to Tier3 standards and is the first of the kind in the region.

The availability of the service is 99.99% and it is enabled thanks to N+1 redundancy of complete mechanical, electric and connection infrastructure in Telenor Tier3 Data Center.

Telenor Data Center

Telenor Data Center is connected via multiple connections to international Tier1 operators and national telecommunication networks, which besides high-quality of direct access to Internet, provides also the connection of distant locations of users via national and international lines.

Location: Omladinskih brigada 92, 11070 Beograd, Srbija
The data center is located in a separate building built in March 2010.

Security

The control of physical access to the equipment of users is provided by appropriate security and safety systems which include multiple mechanical and electronic control of access into the building and space occupied by the Data Center. The building is secured by a safety fence with fully controlled access to its entrance which is equipped with 24/7 system of video surveillance and constant presence of physical safeguarding. The control of access to the premises in the Data Center applies pre-allocated access rights of users and security procedures which imply authentication via ID card readers installed at all doors within the Data Center.

Surveillance of all security systems in the building is 24/7 from Telenor security center with a special notification procedure about all events of interest.

Experts on the technical security team constantly monitor and implement state of the art security standards and products.

Power supply systems

Continual electric power supply is an important segment of Telenor telehousing services. The entire technology possessed by Telenor would be inefficient without constant and continuous electric power supply, so Telenor building was designed and built in the manner which provides power supply according to the highest industrial standards.

Telenor Tier3 Center is directly connected to the main city electric power supply network and it is supplied via two independent supply branches, the capacity of each being 10kV, and subterranean electric power lines brought to the Data Center from different transformer sub-stations, each with capacity of 110/10 kV/kV.

Electric power supply systems were designed to enable maintenance of a single supply branch without affecting the functionality of the entire system.

Diesel generators ensure continuous Data Center supply for 72 h prior to refuelling. Generators are automatically started after electric power supply failure is detected. Generator capacity covers all critical loads of the entire Data Center during the entire power supply interruption, with provided N+1 redundancy system. The system of continual power supply – UPS – covers the transitional mode from the moment of power supply interruption until the start-up of generators. UPS system is fully redundant and consists of two independent UPS sub-systems (Branch A and branch B) which support the transitional mode lasting for the minimum of 30 min at full load of Data Center.

Electric power consumption is measured at the entrance of each cabinet and via PDU (Power Distribution Unit) device. The power and consumption for a selected cabinet or group of cabinets is monitored and controlled via the central PDU control system.

For the purpose of providing high availability of the power supply system, Telenor applies regular testing of the electric power supply system at full load, which includes: minimum monthly test of the start-up of generators, quarterly routine generator maintenance and annual test of the system at full load.

Building management

All systems in Telenor Tier3 Data Center (electric power supply, microclimatic – HVAC, security, access system and fire detection and suppression system) are connected to the building management system which is monitored 24/7.

Telenor Network Operating Center (NOC)

Telenor NOC monitors systems and the network 24/7/365.

Web portal

The main Telehousing service implies the service of Web portal via which a customer can monitor in real time electric power consumption along A and B branches for each rack cabinet, and also air humidity and temperature in each room.

Web portal also provides real time video surveillance of equipment 24/7 with monitoring and control of cabinet/space access where the cabinet is located.

Fire suppression
