YETTEL – BEST MOBILE NETWORK AND HOME INTERNET IN NATIONWIDE BENCHMARK
Yettel – Best Mobile Network and Home Internet in nationwide benchmark
Belgrade, May 9, 2025 – In the latest independent network quality benchmarks conducted by the independent benchmarking organization umlaut, Yettel once again confirmed the strength of its services – this time, in two categories. The operator was recognized for the nineth time as Serbia’s best mobile network and, for the second year in a row, as the best provider of home internet.
The mobile assessment was carried out using a crowdsourcing methodology, analysing over 80 million user experience samples. Between October 2024 and March 2025, Yettel achieved the highest scores in key performance areas in both tests – including mobile internet coverage and home internet stability.
“Our network is one of the main reasons customers choose us and place their trust in us. For us, 2025 is undoubtedly a year of growth. Customers are already seeing the benefits of our Group’s recent acquisition of SBB, and we’re just getting started with new offers and services. To deliver on that promise, we need a mobile and fixed network that’s high-quality, secure, and reliable, and we’re not compromising on that priority,” said Mike Michel, CEO of Yettel, on this occasion.
Yettel has also renewed its strategic partnership with the Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia for another three years. The cooperation agreement was signed by Mike Michel and Marko Čalija, Director of Mountain Rescue Service (GSS), in the presence of rescuers who depend daily on a stable and accessible mobile signal – often in life-or-death situations.
“Extending the agreement for another three years gives us the security and continuity we need to sharpen our skills and respond even better to every call for help. Our relationship with Yettel has always been built on friendship first, and partnership second, because we share the same values and the same mission,” said Čalija.
The collaboration between Yettel and GSS goes far beyond formalities – it is a partnership shaped by real-world situations, where response time and network availability can make all the difference. Over the years, they have worked together to highlight the importance of safe communication in mountainous, remote, and off-grid areas, showing how technology can be a vital ally even in the toughest conditions.
“Our network doesn’t just connect devices – it connects people, and it builds a sense of trust and safety. That’s why this partnership with GSS feels like such a natural fit. It reflects our broader vision of being there where we’re needed most, both digitally and in the real world,” Michel added.
