New record data transfer in Yettel network in first hours 2024

An increasing number of people exchange messages over social networks

Belgrade, January 1, 2024 – During New Year's eve 523 TB of data was exchange in Yettel network, which is as much as 36 percent more compared to the last year.

In the period from 23h on December 31, 2023, till 11h on January 1, 2024, million and a half calls were made and over 2.2 million SMS messages sent. 

During New Year's Eve and the first morning of the new year, 29 thousand text messages were sent abroad, and 6,660 calls were made to foreign countries in that period.

Also, this New Year, customers were very active on social networks. In this way, 3.1 million users of social networks sent messages over the Yettel mobile network, while 169 TB of data was transferred. 

Almost 50 percent of Hipernet users spent the New Year's eve with TV programme, starting a video content nearly one million times. The most watched TV stations were RTS 1, Pink, Prva, Happy, and Kurir TV – ranked by a sequence of the number of viewers, where RTS 1 had the highest viewing numbers. Over Hipernet, the customer exchanged 21,506 gigabytes of data on social networks from 23h on December 31, 2023, till 11h on January 1, 2024.
