MILLION AND FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND RECYCLED DEVICES IN YETTEL
Million and five hundred thousand recycled devices in Yettel
Belgrade, July 22, 2025 - Until now, together with customers, Yettel has covered half the way to the target of 2.7 million recycled devices by 2027. As a token of gratitude, Marko Panić, the customer who brought the jubilarian one million and five-hundred thousandth device for recycling, was awarded at the Supernatural festival.
Yettel has been working for years on adjusting business with the principles of sustainable development and protection of the human environment, and on supporting all who share the same values. That is how the cooperation was established with Supernatural.
“One of the programs we are particularly proud of is the recycling of electronic devices, which we launched in 2021. We wanted to stimulate customers to recycle their old devices and thus raise citizens’ awareness of the importance of proper waste disposal. The turnout of customers and the whole community inspired us to expand the program, so that now we are recycling mobile phones, tablets, computers, rechargers, smart watches, and every part of the equipment we sell in Yettel shops. In four years, together with our customers, we have recycled over 113 tons of dangerous electrical and electronic waste. Marko Panić showed us how important it is for every individual to make a significant change”, says Milica Begenišić, ESG Manager in Yettel.
Yettel believes that Marko’s electric bicycle will motivate him to spend even more time outdoors and that customers will continue to help achieve the set goal for 2027 — recycling 2.7 million devices!
