International awards for sustainable operations

Belgrade, July 16, 2025 - Within the International Sustainability Awards (ISA), organised by London organisation Awards International, we have achieved exceptional success and won as many as two gold medals in the following categories:

Best Sustainability Business Model
Best Circular Economy Practice

These awards confirm Yettel strategic commitment to sustainable development and innovations that contribute to environmental preservation.

“For Yettel, sustainability is not just a strategic direction, but also the only right way of doing business. Four years ago, we have started an ambitious transition to green practices, and the results we have achieved so far confirm that this is the right way. We have recycled 1.5 million devices and 1,500 tons of paper and plastic, collected 106 tons of electronic waste, while today, 90 percent of transactions in retail are paperless. We have combined our commercial strategy with ESG ambitions, and a major part of our success is including our customers in this whole process. We have achieved this through the recycling and Eco bonus and showed that sustainability and business results can quite naturally fit together – and it is precisely this balance that sets us apart”, says Jelena Stekić, Customer Experience Manager.

Yettel is the first green network in Serbia using energy from renewable sources, and enabling customers to recycle their old electronic devices, while contributing through the service Eco Bonus to the recycling of paper and plastic. Up till 2027 we are planning to recycle as much as 2.7 million devices, thus additionally confirming our commitment to the preservation of the environments and responsible business operations.

The success at the ISA Awards would not have been possible without the commitment and cooperation of Yettel employees, and thanks for their support go to:
